Objectives: Utilized a functional gene microarray to detect metal related and degradative genes in Burkholderia vietnamiensis PR1301 and four Gram-positive microorganisms isolated from a metals contaminated riparian site.

2003, 18-21 Aug    Advanced Photon Source, Argonne National Laboratory, Argonne, IL

Objectives: Used the 2-ID-E beam-line to obtain elemental data on Burkholderia vietnamiensis PR1301 under different growth conditions, determine if U could be detected using the 2-ID-E beam-line, and gather preliminary information on sorption of Ni and U to PR1.
